![]() ![]() (why doesn't my character move on the map?) Levels are convoluted and the Map has to be the worst "map" in any game I have ever played. I reached the warp point in the East and the West and beat the Boss in the North. Old thread I know, but I really don't get the appeal for this game. If you did not grab it when you could on the EGS, you should buy it! You won't regret it. It's a gorgeous game to look and to play. I still have not finished the game, I'm doing the north zone right now. And even if it's confusing at first, you get used to it pretty fast. Shopkeepers sell you all just by showing you what the thing does, and if you want to find secrets, you just have to pay attention to the environment, and sound cues. NPCs show you images when they tell their story. There's no text in the game -well there is, but just for some menu navigation-, all is said through images and environmental storytelling which just adds a lot to the charm of the game. They would fit in a pixel horror game to be honest, and if you go to the east section of the map (lake), you'll see some fucked up shit. All creatures are lovely, but then you find the "Giants". It's super satisfying when you dodge attacks, hit the enemies with a combo, then dodge again, send their projectiles back at them, and finishing those with a well put laser shot! DAMN! Sometimes, you get swarmed by so much that you get easily overwhelmed and can kiss your life goodbye! If you nail the dash timing once you get it, tho, the game just starts to fly. All enemies choreograph their attacks, so it should be easy to avoid, right? Yes and no. The game is fast paced, you have to nail the timing if you want to be good at it. Since I knew it was a relatively "low spec game" I decided to give it a try! Boy, what a good decision. ![]() Why does that matter to HLD? Well, I installed the Epic Game Store, and thanks to Epic giving a shitton of games, I had it in my library. After distro hopping for a while, I settled in Manjaro KDE. It struggled with W10 so I started to dig into the wonderful world of Linux. I'm not going through a good period in my life, so I had to sell my gaming PC, and had to resort to a low-end notebook. ![]()
